TIPS ON CHOOSING A SAG-AFTRA AGENT

Every agency is different, if you're looking for an Agency in a regional market here are some tips on what to expect:   

1. Gather your materials, headshots, resume of experience and training, Actors Access account  

2. Research the local agents on Google, and YouTube, and follow each agencies specific instructions on how to submit. Follow the specifics on submitting.  

3. Don't call, text, email after business hours unless it's an emergency, agents are busy with their current clients. No drop ins! They are working for thier clients that they currently represent, please respect their time.

4. Find a fit between the Agents current roster and what you bring that is different.

5. Special skills clip reels, and quirky headshots can pull you out of the crowd, they are often not booking leads in secondary markets, so reevaluate your material to fit the needs of the market.

6. Focus on relationships, with casting and their associates, on set, at Film Festivals and conferences.

7. Don't lie about your location, be hones, if you live in Arizona but have flight benefits and a second home in New Mexico state that.

8. Look for an Agent that focuses on quality, quality actors, quality projects, quality relationships as well as the market.
